“I can do it all.”
Do you find yourself saying that sometimes. I got this. I don’t need any help. I work these multiple jobs, take care of business, and no I don’t need your help.
That’s a lie!
I’m here to tell you I’m sick of singing that sad song. I know Webbie was telling me that I need to be Independent, but right about now I want to throw in that towel, because I NEED HELP!
I don’t know all of the answers, and I need to stop appearing as if I do. My weakness is probably your strength, so I’m throwing you a two-way lifeline.
I was looking over some grants over the past week, and thought to myself why would you even waste your time applying for that grant. Then it hit me, I have friends in my circle that have experience with grant writing. Why wouldn’t I ask them? Here’s the funniest thing of it all, I have experience in grant writing working with my Dean in graduate school.
I don’t know what it takes to secure a grant, and therefore I need help.
Whew! That took a lot out of me to admit. I don’t know it all, and neither do you. There is someone in our circle that is willing to help us get to the next level, and if we don’t speak up the opportunities will continue to pass us by.
So, this week I will be reaching out to those individuals who have experience in securing grants, and gearing up for a radio interview on Friday to discuss my current projects. Be sure to follow the Steele Lens, Facebook Page for more updates.
Let’s throw fear in the trash this week, and continue on the path of accomplishing our goals in 2017!
